Which Fast Food Chain Is Most Likely to Change Its Name?

We recently asked Fast Food Brands to name their biggest offenders for the past year.

They responded with names, with some companies saying they were still deciding on the future of their brands.

Here’s a look at which companies are in the middle of a transition: Chipotle: Chipotles, which has a global footprint, is changing its name to “The Chipotle.”

But Chipotle’s parent company, Chipotle Mexican Grill, has yet to decide on a name for the brand.

Chipotle, meanwhile, has a new name for their brand, Chipotlán, that the brand will be unveiling in early 2018.

Chipotllos new brand will feature the phrase “Our food is good.

Our service is fast.” 

Nestle: Nestle, a family-owned company, announced they will name their new line of chips as “Nestled” and make the new line available in the United States in 2018.

Nestle has yet-to-be-determined what their new brand name will be, but the brand’s new website says Nestle’s “Chicos is a family of bold and innovative ingredients that make our snacks, condiments and beverages so fresh and flavorful.” 

The Coca-Cola Company: The Coke Company announced their brand name changes in the U.S. in 2018 with the announcement of a new, more inclusive brand name.

Coca-Colas brand name was “Coca-Cola” and its new name will incorporate a more inclusive “Cola” wordmark, including “the,” “we,” “us,” “our,” and “us.” 

Hewlett Packard Enterprise: Hewlett Packards new brand is the brand name of their new cloud computing division, HPE.

HPE’s new name is “HP.” 

Dow Chemical: Dow Chemical announced their changes to their brand names in 2018 to reflect their “New Vision” as a global leader in advanced manufacturing technologies.

Dow Chemical is changing their name to Dow Advanced Technologies and the new brand includes a new symbol for the company. 

McDonalds: McDonalds announced in 2018 they would be changing their brand’s name to Happy Meal.

McDonalds changed their name from Happy Meals to Happy Meats in 2019. 

Lululemon Athletica: Lululema announced they would change their name of the brand from “Lulululemons” to “LULULU” in 2019 to better reflect their new fitness and wellness offering. 

Honda: Honda’s new brand was “Honda” and the brand is changing the logo to “HICAP” as they are now called the “Toyota of Automotive Parts.” 

Ford: Ford is changing both their brand and their name.

Ford is calling themselves the “Ford of America.” 

Tesla: Tesla announced in 2019 they would rebrand themselves to “Tesla” to reflect the fact that they are changing their product line to be a “better vehicle.”

Tesla also announced they have decided to rename their brand to “Electric Vehicle.” 

Uber: Uber is now called “Uber” and will not be changing its current brand name, which was “Uber.” 

PepsiCo: PepsiCo is changing all their product names and the name of each product will be changed to “Pepsico.” 

General Mills: General Mills is changing what they are calling their brand.

The company announced in 2017 they would name their brand “GMO” and change the brand to the new name “GOLD.” 

Chili’s: Chili’s is changing everything.

Chili’s will be changing the name from “Chili” to the brand that includes the word “Chile.” 

Apple: Apple announced in 2020 they will be announcing their new name in 2018 as they announced a brand name change last year.

Apple announced the new naming in 2018 in a statement to “create an inclusive and welcoming brand identity.” 

Walgreens: Walgreens has a name change in 2018 that will include the word Walmart.

The new name includes “Walmart” as well as the word brand. 

Safeway: Safeway announced they are going to change their brand from Safeway to Safeway Organic, the new company name. 

Taco Bell: Taco Bell announced in 2016 they were going to rebrand their brand as “Taco” and they will also change their new company logo. 

Frozen: Frozen announced in March 2018 they will not change their existing brand name or name of product. 

Wyeth & Emerson: Emerson announced they were changing their current name to the company name of “Frozen.” 

TigerDirect: TigerDirect is changing names of their products and products in 2018 and will be switching to the name “Tiger Direct.” 

Mazda: Mazda announced in December 2018 they were making the changes to what they call their “Mazdas name and brand.
