Former fast food worker dies at age 50
Fast food worker Scott Roper has died after a fall from a construction platform at a McDonald’s in North Charleston, South Carolina, police said.
Roper, 46, died at a hospital.
He was from Columbia, South Africa.
The restaurant he worked at was owned by the McDonald’s chain, and he worked there for two years, according to a statement from the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
Ropers family posted a statement on social media saying he was a loving father and grandfather who loved his son, the family said.
It added that he had been employed at McDonald’s since 2002.
