Which Rockers are You Gonna End up Calling in the New Year?
Fast food rocker Big Boi is no stranger to having to deal with fans on social media.
He’s got a big following on Instagram and Twitter, and it’s gotten to the point where he’s been compared to The Weeknd.
So when Big Bois wife, singer and wife-to-be, Brittany, was recently invited to perform at a sold-out Madison Square Garden show, fans quickly came out to celebrate the couple’s marriage with their own special guest.
“I’ve never been on stage, and I’ve never performed, so it’s really weird,” the singer said in an interview with MTV.
“When we walked onstage, people started to scream at us, so we told them, ‘This is how it’s going to be.'”
While Big Boio has been known to make headlines, his wife and Big Boie are no strangers to controversy.
While Brittany’s career is well known for her collaborations with artists like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, Big Bo, who is currently the lead singer of the hip-hop group, Black Hippy, has faced criticism over his actions.
“It’s a little bit of a struggle because of the way we talk about people in general, and we’ve always been open about the stuff that we’re into,” he said.
“But when we go in front of a room and people don’t really know us or like us or care about us, then it’s a tough situation.”
Big Bo and Brittany’s wedding was filmed live on April 21 at Madison Square Gardens’ iconic Dolce & Gabbana ballroom, and fans have been posting comments about their engagement on social channels like Vine and Instagram.
“You know, we’ve all been there, and you’re not going to get it done, especially if you’re married,” Brittany told MTV in an exclusive interview.
“And you know, I have a big brother, and he doesn’t have a problem with that.
And I know that my brother is an amazing person, and that I love him and everything about him.”
